Finals week is officially on and it has gone pretty swimmingly. I was able to get a 98 on my english final and I also just got a 96 on my lab final about 2 hours ago. In other words my roommate is now annoying me not only with his dumb job but also with his dumb friends who are for some reason up at 6 am which is just the worst ive yet to get a good nights sleep in some time now. That english paper went just swell as I was able to somehow get a 98 on it which I guess makes sense as it was the most that I had worked on something all year, Im very proud of that grade I am.

Last week before finals and on my last two exams i got a 90 and a 97 so im pretty stoked about that.My roommate is back to waking up at 3 am for his stupid library job. I got an extension on that english project so ive been taking advantage of that to this point. I pretty much have just been studying working on my finals and planning around finals week to actually go out and do things. This week i went to a class i did not have for the 5th time i think so thats annoying.

THANKSGIVING!!! finally a week where I only have to go to 5 classes instead of ten its about damn time. Apparently the bust was not that big of a deal I was recently informed that it is only a minor penalty for the mistake I made. But to the more important stuff, I traveled successfully to and from new york without any government ID, I think I can attribute this entirely to my race but ill take it. It was a 4 hour flight just to reach my connection and then another three hour flight from atlanta to bradley. I worked on my essay a bunch on the plane as I find the environment very soothing. Its going along very well im most confident in this one.

Yet another mellow week. I think my roommate is reading these posts, not once this week did he wake me with an annoying leave at 7:10 for his big dumb job at the library. The project that i was working on for mis was a bust as the one software that i was supposed to do use for it was a bust so i think my grade on that assignment might drop and it is completely not my fault. The argumentative piece that we are doing is pretty easy once you are able to get the regular format youre used to out of your head which i was able to do by looking at other blogs from sites i read for inspiration.

Yet another mellow week. This one was a little annoying particularly because my roommate kept leaving really early in the morning because hes a nerd with responsibilities and i was not able to sleep to 11:00 am like i need to be. Now im working on a project n my mis class and the last one i did i was barely able to finish it in the last 2 hours prior to its due date. This week was pretty mellow again. I had to study for two separate mid terms and I almost did not know that I even had an mis 111 midterm until a day before the test, but I was able to study and I took it and did better than I thought. I still have been able to get no sleep in between all the studying, the baseball world series and the release of stranger things, I still made all my classes even if i almost died doing so. In english finally we are talking about doing a sort of argumentative piece and I want to do a satire but Im pretty confused about the ways to argue in sarcasm while also having concise arguments which build upon eachother.

I did much more at school this week. ,I made it to all of my classes for the first time in a month and i was still able to see all of the sporting events i wanted included the yankees being eliminated. However I did have to see the celtics game in the middle of math and i was forced to watch the gordon hayward freak injury mid math without yelling in disgust.  I was able to flly figure out the assignment that i was doing and i was getting on a real roll and then just as i got to the end of the fact sheet My wifi just stops working. I hate that about this campus theres these hotspots that just randomly go out and i fell victim to that friday. At least i made edits and it was still in solid condition.

I didnt do too much at school this week. ,Unfortunately i wasn't able to make up for oversleeping twice last week and missed two major classes in mis and english due to watching the red sox lose in the playoffs for the second consecutive year. . However I did go to all of my english classes prior and considering this is the only one I think ill be fine so long as i turn in the assignment that was due on that day.  I am still having a lot of trouble trying to understand this assignment that I am doing, it is much harder than I figured to put together a solid fact sheet, getting the facts on such a specific and niche idea like mine is proving to be much harder than I anticipated.

This week I didnt do too much at school, following my first two major exams I really just wanted to reflect and react to them and that I did. When I realized that I didn't do as well on my math exam that I thought I would, I responded initially with a lot of confusion, which then turned into anxiety, and everyday since then I have been taking my studies far more seriously and surprisingly enough i havent missed a class just yet. In the long run I'm very happy with what this test has done to motivate me in a weird way and in that essense I have finished a majority of the fact sheet due in english.

This week my review on one of my favorite songs was due and it turned out to be much harder to do than I initially thought itd be. The main reason for that was the increased challenge to write about the song objectively, listening to the song for almost a year and a half now its gonna be very hard to change your objective from "This is an extremely poetic and intense song one of the best I've ever heard" to having to read it from the point of view of people who disagree with me and read it as a "BAD" song. Because of that it took me much longer than I thought and I didnt have the time to proofread that I thought I would. Additionally this week I thought I had registered for an exam on examity, partly because the website that I was on "examity" told me that I had registered for an exam on examity.. So Im forced to use the drop that I get this semester in mis on a test I didnt get to take. Morever its been very hard to balance work and social life and I really have to work on that adjustment or I am really gonna regret it.

Life on campus has been pretty hectic thus far. Ive been able to manage mostly through the ability to just text the people I know from back home, but that strategy has been kind of hurting me as soon as its around 10 pm or so here because they get kinda mad at me texting them so late. I didnt really do anything this week and I kind of hate myself for being so boring but also really respect the fact that i put school first and worked on my MIS lab the entire week, and unbeknownst to me i turned it in a day early, when i found out about this and the fact that I could have had about 2 more days to work on it i was pretty pissed off to be honest, and then i remembered the extra credit that came with it and it eased the pain. Coming from the east coast I was at least excited about the first few weeks when I would be able to get a decent amount of sleep and not wake up at 2 pm every day, unfortunately that did not last the first few weeks, two times now i have almost missed my 11:00 am MIS class simply due to a terrible sleep schedule, I understand that thems the breaks when ur living in college and the hardest part is balancing the lifestyles but I thought itd be a longer adjustment. This is my first ever blog post so imma just abruptly stop it right there, I honestly just hope that the teacher can see this cause im not sure where im posting it or if i told him the right address, but if I did and You do see this, thanks for reading i guess.

Why I chose my format of note taking

Im not too particular about the branding or the style of my notes, I feel that if I write things as I would say them then it is much easier for me to memorize the things im writing. The only exception to this is when im copying a definition then I prefer to write exactly as the instructor has it posted as to avoid confusion and to avoid any miscommunications. However, as I do find that it makes it easier to memorize I will add my own twist to the definitions in post, I will ask questions in my own voice I will explain further in my own voice, these are just things I do to remind me of both the topic and the fact that I wrote the notes myself and not just the fact that they are not in my own words. Then during a lecture i like to listen to an entire section of what is said, and usually I just summarize the entire lecture on my own, this is more easily done than copying definitions because through the lecture i find myself better understanding the notes and the things that i need to be listening to in order to process the information. Finally I like to directly copy the professors answers to the questions asked by students and in the example this is a 600 person class so with so many students you are bound to get some redundancies so when i found a question asked was unimportant i would just add on to where it had already been answered.

They post a rubric to d2l and there is a rubric and if there is an error and that is because you submitted a word document,,, dont call him in a panic just go through the process

If you didnt submit it at all there are partial credit links for 60% of ur original grade

Only accept thru d2l because you can change it but if you dont know how to change it ppl on youtube do so you cant do it because they would tell you nad then youd find out
